Jane Milre Godwin Campbell, 89, of Homerville, GA, passed away Wednesday (July 21, 2021) at her granddaughters home in Waycross following an extended illness. She was born in Homerville to the late Albert Harrison Godwin and Edith Maxine Snowden Godwin and lived all her life here. Mrs. Campbell was a homemaker and was a really good one, as she loved to take care of her family with lots of cooking. She was a member of the Homerville First Baptist Church where she was a member of the church choir for many years and of the WMU. Along with her parents she was preceded in death by her husband: James William Campbell; one daughter: Charlotte Campbell and one brother: J. W. Godwin. Survivors are one daughter: Florence Nipper, Homerville; two sons: James Robbin Campbell (wife Vickie) of Pearson and William Craig Campbell (wife Marsha) of Brunswick; a sister-in-law: Betty Godwin, Homerville; a brother-in-law: Charlie Campbell (wife Jean) Sumter, SC; nineteen grandchildren: Stephen Salinas (Kera), Nancy Hill, Hope Salinas (Stanley Paul), Marie Strickland (Chad Cannon), Michelle McCullough (Max), Diedre Campbell (Ken Roberts), Shannon Campbell, Ben Campbell, Brian Campbell (Stephanie), Stanley McClelland, Stacey McClelland, Jennifer Tillman (Britt), Heather Phillips and Gerald Duncan; nineteen great grandchildren, several great great grandchildren and a number of nieces, nephews and other relatives. A funeral service will be held Saturday July 24, 2021 at two o’clock at the Homerville First Baptist Church. Burial will follow in the New Pine Grove Church Cemetery.
