Mrs. Willie Mae Saylor, 95, passed away peacefully Friday, November 1, 2019, in the Clinch Memorial Hospital, following a long illness. Mrs. Saylor was born June 22, 1924, in Homerville, GA to the late Willie Jordon and Lou Mae Pittman Griffis. She was a caregiver for most of her life. She was a member of the Macclenny Church of God and attended the Victory Church of God Of Prophecy. She was preceded in death by her husband: Loyd Cox; daughter: Janice Neilson; and brothers: Melvin Griffis and Allan Griffis; and sister: Rosa Lee Griffis. Survivors are one daughter: Mary Joyce (Generato) Mercado, Jacksonville, FL; son: Lloyd Edward (Janet) Cox, Homerville; sister: Minnie Jean Kelly, Valdosta; eleven grandchildren, fourteen great-grandchildren, sixteen great-great grandchildren and a number of nieces, nephews and other relatives.
