William Edward “Buddy” Stalvey, 81, of Thomasville passed away Friday afternoon, January 5, 2024, at Archbold Medical Center after a short illness. He was born in Homerville to the late Marshall and Vida Pearl Stalvey and lived in Homerville most of his life before moving to Thomasville in May. Mr. Stalvey was a truck driver and a member of Zenith Baptist Church in Manor.
Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by three sisters, Margaret Reedy, Williejean Worthington and Patricia Stone; five brothers, Earl Stalvey, Jimmy Stalvey, Richard Stalvey, Lewis Stalvey, and Randy Stalvey.
Survivors include his children, Michael, Deborah, and Tommy; one sister Marsha Stabler of Homerville; one brother and sister-in-law, David and Paulette Stalvey of Homerville; numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
A funeral service will be held Monday afternoon, January 8, 2024, at 2 pm at Lighthouse Assembly of God. Burial will follow in Ramah Cemetery.
The family will receive friends Mon day from 1 pm until 2 pm at the church.
