Travis Albert Guess

Travis Albert Guess, 55, of Homerville ran into the arms of Jesus on Saturday, April 5, 2025, at his residence after a lengthy illness. He was born in Homerville to Morris Guess and Marcia Smith Brantley and lived here all of his life. Mr. Guess was self-employed as a beekeeper owning and operating along with his son, Guess Honey & Pollination. He was a member of Life Journey Fellowship in Valdosta. Mr. Guess always enjoyed fishing and hunting and especially beekeeping.

He was preceded in death by his father, Morris Guess, and a special nephew, Eric Guess; maternal grandparents, Nayon and Odessa Smith; paternal grandparents, Homer and Alice Guess.

Survivors include his wife of thirty-three years, Tina Hendricks Guess of Homerville; one son and daughter-in-law, Nathan and Chelsea Guess of Homerville, one daughter, Hali Guess Bradford (fiancé Aaron Lee) of Homerville; four grandchildren, Aria, Landrie, Ezra, and Kiah; his mother and step-father, Marcia and Jimmy Brantley of Waresboro; two brothers and sister-in-law, Dewayne and Dianne Guess of Homerville, and Darryl Guess of Waycross; two step-sisters, Marsha Brantley of Douglas, and Melissa Stapleton (Jim) of Blackshear; several nieces, nephews, and other relatives.

A funeral service will be held Wednesday morning, April 9, 2025, at 11 am at Lighthouse Assembly of God. Burial will follow in Shiloh Cemetery.

The family will receive friends Tuesday evening from 6 pm until 8 pm at Roundtree Funeral Home.
