Shirley Morse Rigdon

Shirley Ann Morse Rigdon, 92, of Homerville ascended to Heaven Tuesday morning, October 25, 2022, at her residence after a brief illness. She was born, August 18, 1930, in Honolulu, Hawaii to Alfred Kahekeli Morse and Kathleen Wilson Lechleitner. She loved being around her kids, friends, and grandchildren. She was a loving mother. Shirley was very active attending sports events from her community and followed her grandson, Kody, in his baseball career. She was a homemaker and worked twenty years beside her husband, Bill, in the chicken house. Mrs. Rigdon was a Navy wife and followed her husband for twenty-three years.

Along with her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Ret. LCDR William H. Rigdon; three sisters, Gwyneth Price, Betty Jean Steigerwald, and Theone E. Allen; one grandchild, Kelly Verret Jensen.

Survivors include her children, Cathy Jensen (husband Bruce) of Las Vegas, NV, Bill Rigdon, Bud Rigdon, Debora Rigdon, and Denise Johnston (husband Alan) all of Homerville; Ms. Shirley had ten grandchildren, twenty-six great grandchildren, three great-great grandchildren, and seven step grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held on February 11, 2022 at eleven o'clock at the Shiloh Church.
