Sharon Harrison Calley

Sharon Denise Harrison Calley, 67, of Homerville passed away Sunday night, March 12, 2023, at Clinch Memorial Hospital after a sudden illness. She was born in Baxley, GA to the late Daniel Eugene “Bill” Harrison and Pearl Partin Harrison. Ms. Calley graduated from Clinch County High School in 1974 and lived here most of her life. She was a co-owner of Richard’s Meats and Seafood and a member of the Clinch Foundation. She always enjoyed cooking and looking after grandchildren.

Along with her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Richard Calley and one brother, Gary Harrison.

Survivors include her companion since 2010, Craig Cox of Homerville; children, Michelle Godfrey, Mary Ruth Handley, Gregory Calley, Kristy Corbitt, and Crystal Godfrey all of Homerville, and C.J. Cox (wife Heather) of Athens; grandchildren, Ryder Godfrey, Chance Thomas (husband Jay), Trinity Cooper, Zackery Handley, Breanna Baxley (husband Sean), Rayce Godfrey, Knox Godfrey, and Beaux Baxley; two sisters, Sandra Faye Wynn (husband Dennie) of Wrightsville, GA, Kim Skaff (husband Mitch) of Brunswick; two brothers, Tommy Harrison of Argyle and Billy Harrison (wife Polly) of Blackshear; several nieces, nephews, and other relatives.

A funeral service will be held Wednesday morning, March 15, 2023, at 11 am at Shiloh Church. Burial will follow in Shiloh Cemetery.

The family will receive friends Tuesday evening from 6 until 8 pm at the funeral home.
