Homerville, GA Mr. Samuel Floyd Pittman, 82, passed away Friday, April 20, 2018, in the Lakehaven Nursing Home, Valdosta, GA, following a short illness. Mr. Pittman was born December 07, 1935, in Homerville, to the late Floyd Pittman and Viola Howling Pittman. He had worked in pulpwood. He was preceded in death by four brothers: Eddie Pittman, Henry Pittman, Sr., Ira Pittman and Elmer Pittman. Survivors are six nieces: Ricky (Randell) White, Betty Sue (Johnnie) Hendricks, Lourelle (Snooky) Griffis, Fayleen (Andy) Hendricks all of Homerville, Lisa (Marty) Browning, Argyle and Nellie (Carl) Sutton, Blackshear; seven nephews: Floyd Pittman, Bobby (Kim) Pittman, Archie (Michelle) Pittman, David (Shelby) Pittman, Paul Pittman, Barney Pittman, all of Homerville and Edmond (Donna) Pittman, Live Oak, FL; one brother: James Pittman, Argyle; one sister, Thilma Miller, Paducah, KY and several other nieces, nephews and other relatives. Funeral services for Mr. Pittman will be held Tuesday, April 24, 2018 at three o’clock from the Chapel of Roundtree Funeral Home. Interment will be in the Pine Forest Cemetery. The family will receive friends Monday, April 23, 2018 from 6 till 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
