Sadie Delk Corbitt

Sadie Delk Corbitt, 72, of Homerville passed away Saturday at her residence after a short illness. She was born in Homerville to the late Ralph Smith and Rosalee Delk Smith. Mrs. Corbitt was a homemaker most of her life and enjoyed travelling, visiting antique shops, fishing, and especially time with her grandchildren and family.

Along with her parents she was preceded in death by one grandson, Cameron Corbitt.

Survivors include her husband of 44 years, Jerry M. Corbitt of Homerville; four children, Stacey Delk Hinson (husband Danny) of Argyle, Julie Davis (husband Buddy), Danny Corbitt (Nancy) all of Homerville, Diana Henderson (husband Terry) of Douglas; ten grandchildren, Hunter Layton Hinson, Dancey Rhiannon Hinson, Huston Bryant Hinson all of Argyle, Courtney Whittington (husband Jeff) of Homerville, Brittney Landrum (husband James) of Homerville, Bubba Corbitt (wife Kalissa) of Waycross, Madison Corbitt and Madalynn Corbitt both of Homerville, Hannah Henderson and Makenley Henderson both of Douglas; eight great grandchildren; and several cousins.

A funeral service will be held Tuesday afternoon, August 22, 2023, at 2 pm at Roundtree Funeral Home Chapel. A private burial will be held at North Cemetery in DuPont.

The family will receive friends Monday evening from 6 until 8 pm at the funeral home.
