Ruth Lee Pitts

  Mrs. Ruth Lee Smith Pitts, 75, passed away Thursday, November 28, 2019, in the Community Hospice Palliative Care, Jacksonville, FL, following a short illness.   Mrs. Pitts was born June 20, 1944, in Homerville to the late Henry Leon Smith and Odessa Smith. She worked for Taco Bell and was of the Baptist faith.  She was preceded in death by one daughter: Deanna Clark; one sister: Rose Beckham Wimberley; five brothers: Raymond Smith, Robert Smith, Rever Smith, Russell Smith and Ronnie Smith.   Survivors are three daughters and son-in-law: Susan & David Jessee, Jacksonville, FL, Reba Beam, Clearwater, FL and Lori Pitts, Lexington, SC; two sons: David Pitts and Paul Joel Pitts, both of Tampa. FL; eight grandchildren, nine great grandchildren, a number of nieces, nephews and other relatives.   Funeral services for Mrs. Pitts will be held Saturday, Dec. 7, 2019 at two o’clock in the Chapel of Roundtree Funeral Home.   Interment will be in the Pine Forest Cemetery.   Sympathy maybe expressed by signing the online registry at www.roundtreefuneralhome.net.   Roundtree Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
