Roland Earl Sutton, Sr.

Homerville, GA   Mr. Roland Earl Sutton, Sr., 79, passed away Monday, April 23, 2018, at his residence, following a short illness.   Mr. Sutton was born October 14, 1938, in Echols County to the late David Sutton and Daisy Sistrunk Sutton. He had worked for the Clinch County Sheriff’s Office as a jailer and attended the Homerville Congregational Methodist Church. He was preceded in death by his wife, Sandra Kay Dial Sutton, a daughter, Sherrie T. Booth, and a sister Bertie Bennett.   Survivors are one son: Roland Earl (Kim) Sutton, Jr., Homerville; four sisters: Mary Sutton and Bronna Hendrix, Homerville, Susan North, Hahira, GA, Kathy McLain, Pooler, GA; special friend Deidra Cox, Homerville; six grandchildren: Jeb Turner, Jess Booth, Tyler Sutton, Cameron Sutton, Carrington Sutton and Zack Herrin; six great grandchildren and several other relatives.   Graveside memorial services for Mr. Sutton will be held Saturday, April 28, 2018 at eleven o’clock from the New Pine Grove Church Cemetery.   Memorialization is by cremation.   Sympathy may be expressed by signing the online registry at www.roundtreefuneralhome.net   Roundtree Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
