Robert J. Hendrix

Robert Junior Hendrix, 83, of Homerville passed away Tuesday morning, April 4, 2023, at Langdale Hospice House after a short illness. He was born in Clinch County to the late Farley H. and Lottie Mae Pittman Hendrix. Mr. Hendrix retired from Slash Pine as a Truck Foreman. He was a member of Lovejoy Community Church and always loved working at the church and fishing.  

Along with his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, Laura Linda Harrell Hendrix; two sisters, Dollie Mae Murphy and Verdie Walker; four brothers, Huey Hendrix, Sammie Hendricks, Sherman Hendrix, and Lois F. Hendrix.

Survivors include two children, Greg Hendrix and his wife Tina of Homerville and Marsha Lynn Sexton and her husband Marlin of Crystal River, FL; four grandchildren, Ashton Hendrix and his wife MaKenzie and their children Tyler and Maddison, Ashlin Gaskins and her husband Colton, Kaitlin King, and Mitchell King all of Homerville; five great grandchildren; two sisters, Doris Peek of Homerville and Maybell Harper of Orlando, FL; two brothers, Hubert Hendrix and his wife Bronna and Horace Hendrix all of Homerville; numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives.

A funeral service will be held Friday afternoon, April 7, 2023, at 2 pm at Lovejoy Community Church. Burial will follow in Shiloh Cemetery.

The family will receive friends Thursday evening from 6 until 8 pm at the funeral home.
