Rick Baumbach

Richard Roy “Rick” Baumbach, 59, of Homerville passed away Tuesday morning, February 25, 2025, at Memorial Satilla Health in Waycross after a short illness. He was born in Norwich, CT to James Robert Baumbach and Diane Green Butler Schwarzer. Mr. Baumbach lived in Waycross and Homerville most of his life and owned and operated Baumbach Escort Service. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, and classic cars, especially his Firebird.

He was preceded in death by his father, James Robert Baumbach; his wife, Shari Baumbach; one daughter, Abigail Baumbach.

Survivors include his mother, Diane Green Butler Schwarzer of North Adams, MA; brother, James Robert Baumbach, II (wife Karen) of Clarksburg, MA; adoptive brother, John Edenfield (wife Kim) of Homerville; nephews and nieces, Justin Howland, Matthew Butler Baumbach, David Gary Baumbach, Cora Edenfield, Joni Stewart, Paige Garcia, and John Edenfield, III; special great niece, Emmy; high school sweetheart, Lisa Gardner of Stamford, VT; several great nieces, great nephews, and other relatives.

A memorial service will be held at a later date.
