Rev. Sarah Cribbs Deese

      Rev. Sarah L. Cribbs Deese, 75, passed away Monday, December 24, 2018, in the Clinch Memorial Hospital, Homerville, GA, following a lengthy illness.   Rev. Deese was born September 13, 1943, in Clinch County, GA, to Nessie V. Melton Cribbs, Fargo, GA and the late Hance Cribbs. She had worked for the Clinch Memorial Hospital as ward clerk for 32 years. She had ministered at Fargo Evangelistic Church, DuPont Full Gospel Mission and also at Lovejoy Community Church where she was a member. She has written many songs and sung at many funeral and weddings. She was preceded in death by her husband: Rev. Johnny Deese; two daughters and son-in-law: Joan & John Boyles and Martha Hainley; two sisters: Margie Harris and Annette Cribbs.   Survivors other than her mother, are one son and daughter-in-law; James W. & Trish Vinson, Jr., Jasper, FL, two daughters: Marcelle Tucker and Yvette Herrin, both of Homerville, one step daughter and son-in-law: Shelia & Stanley Pittman, Waycross, special daughter: Joyce & Mickey Lane, Homerville; two step-sons and daughter-in-law, Jerry & Dell Deese Homerville and Doral Hainley, Stockton; two sisters; Vera Henderson, Statenville and Sherry Colburn, Fargo, one brother and sister-in-law; Jimmy & Frances Cribbs, Waycross: twenty one grandchildren, forty great grandchildren, nine great great grandchildren, a number of nieces, nephews and other relatives.   Funeral services for Rev. Deese will be held Saturday, December 29, 2018 at two o’clock at the Lovejoy Community Church.   Interment will be in the Wayfare Church Cemetery, Stockton, GA.   The family will receive friends Saturday, December 29, 2018, from noon till 2 p.m. at the Lovejoy Community Church.   Sympathy maybe expressed by signing the online registry at www.roundtreefuneralhome.net.   Roundtree Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
