Rev. Keith M. Chauncey

July 5, 1944 — October 20, 2021

Rev. Keith Monroe Chauncey, 77, of Homerville passed away Wednesday morning (Oct. 20, 2021) at Fellowship Home in Valdosta after a lengthy illness. He was born in Panama City, FL to the late Everal and Jimmie Vining Chauncey. He graduated from Clinch County High School and lived here most of his life. Rev. Chauncey preached for forty years;  he received his license on September 7, 1977. His first church was Zoar Church in Jacksonville, FL from 1978 until 1980 and then served Shiloh Church in Homerville from 1980 until 2014.  

Along with his parents he was preceded in death by his first wife, Joyce Chauncey; one brother, Juke Davis; Paternal grandparents, Hamp and Nettie Chauncey.

Survivors include his wife, Patsy Sears Chauncey of Homerville, two sons, Paul and Barbara Chauncey of Pearson, and Damon and Teresa Chauncey of Homerville; two granddaughters, Grace and Callie Chauncey of Valdosta; mother, Zelmaree Chauncey of Homerville; one brother, Jerry and Melinda Davis of Homerville; several nieces, nephews, and other relatives.   

A funeral service will be held Friday afternoon at 2 pm at Shiloh Church. Burial will follow in Chauncey Cemetery.

The family will receive friends Thursday evening from 6 – 8 pm at Shiloh Church.
