Nora Lee “Pretty” Delk Daniel widow of Judon “Don” Daniel, 77, of Homerville passed away early Friday morning, May 20, 2022, at Harborview in Pierce County after an extended illness. She was born in Clinch County to the late William Henry Delk, Sr. and Nora Candace Herrin Delk and lived here all of her life. Mrs. Daniel was a Christian at heart and a homemaker. She always enjoyed collecting whatnots and antiques, being in her yard messing with her flowers and being in the sun.
Along with her parents and husband she was preceded in death by two sisters, Annie Delk and Mary Lou Allen; three brothers, Boss Delk, Man Delk, and Son Delk.
Survivors include four children, Stevie York (wife Donna) of Waresboro, Sheila Lee (husband Donald) of Homerville, Charles Allen Griffis (wife Joy) of Millwood, and Judon Edward “Punkin” Daniel (wife Casey Ann) of Homerville; eight grandchildren, Justin Delk, Jason York, Aaron York, Courey York, Chesley Griffis, Chris Griffis, Gracee Daniel, and Gauge Daniel; seventeen great-grandchildren; one sister, Maxine Davis of Homerville; several nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
A graveside service will be held Monday morning, May 23, 2022, at 10 am at Shiloh Cemetery.
The family will receive friends Sunday evening from 6 until 8 pm at the funeral home.
