Minnie Lee Manac

Minnie Lee Chauncey Manac, 80, of Fruitland passed away Wednesday evening (April 21, 2021) at her residence after an illness. She was born in Echols County to the late Martin and Minnie Rose Cribbs Chauncey. Mrs. Manac was a bus driver for Echols County for twenty five years and was a member of Fruitland Church of God. She always enjoyed cooking and especially spending time with family, but most of all she loved her God. Along with her parents she was preceded in death by one son, Bennie Manac; two sisters, Dolly Mae Melton and Beulah Carver; three brothers, Martin Chauncey, Jr., Dud “D.C.” Chauncey, and Isom Chauncey. Survivors include her husband, Bonnie Manac, Sr. of Fruitland; two sons, Bonnie “BooBoo” Manac, Jr. (wife Christy) of Lake Park, Don Manac (wife Audrey) of Fruitland; two sisters, Freddie Lou Register of Fargo, Roslyn Burks of Philadelphia, MS; two brothers, Johnny Chauncey (wife Liz) of Enigma, and J.M. Chauncey (wife Andrea) of Fruitland; six grandchildren, Justin Manac, Katie Odom (husband Kaylon), Shane Manac (wife Dazey), Brooklyn Touchton, Brandon Manac (wife Grace), and Abby Manac; eight great-grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives. A funeral service will be held Sunday afternoon at 2 pm at Wayfare Primitive Baptist Church. Burial will follow in Wayfare Cemetery. Mrs. Manac will lie in state at Fruitland Church of God Saturday beginning at 11 am and the family will receive friends from 6 – 8 pm at Fruitland Church of God.
