Michael "Redd" Propes

Michael Allen “Redd” Propes, 23, of Waycross passed away Monday evening (Sept. 27, 2021) in Brunswick. He was born in Missouri and lived in Waycross for most of his life. Redd was a die-hard Georgia Bulldog fan, always loved playing basketball and fishing.

He was preceded in death by his mama, Michelle Lee Delk; maternal grandfather, Randy Propes; Paternal great grandparents, Theo and Vonnie Newbern, and J.D. and Thelma Delk.

Survivors include two children, Rylee Alexis Lynette Propes and Landyn Michael Shane Propes, mother of his children, Carla Strickland of Waycross; his father, David Earl Delk, II (girlfriend Tracy Palmer), of Blackshear; mother, Corina Marie Propes of Homerville; two brothers, Lawton Delk (fiancé Robyn Williams of Waycross, Colten Ryan McDuffie of Willacoochee; paternal grandmother, Elizabeth Newbern of Ray City, GA, paternal grandfather, David Earl Delk of Homerville; maternal grandmother, Claudia Propes, maternal grandparents, Frances and Dwight Lee, maternal grandmother, Marian “Granny Bunny” Baker of Jacksonville, FL; aunt, Stacey Musgrove (Clint Register) of Lakeland and her children, Payton Musgrove and Carter Register; aunts and uncles, Carmelita Day (Jimmy) of Homerville, Elias Propes of Baytown, TX, Marilla Constance of Baytown, TX, Kelly Propes of Hahira, GA; special aunt, Marie Smith of Waycross; good friend, Daniel Lynell Strickland, Jr. of Waycross; and other relatives.

A funeral service will be held Monday morning at 11 am at Emerson Park Baptist Church in Waycross. Burial will follow in Oakland Cemetery in Waycross.

The family will receive friends Sunday evening from 5 -7 pm at Emerson Park Baptist Church.

The family request everyone to wear Georgia Bulldog attire Monday at the funeral.
