Mary Lois James

March 3, 1933 — November 22, 2020

Mary Lois Cloud Stewart James, 87, of Argyle passed away Sunday, November 22, 2020 at Clinch Memorial Hospital after an illness. She was born in Bainbridge, GA to the late McBride and Minnie Lois Dawson Cloud. Mrs. James was a Certified Nursing Assistant and an EMT. During her working years, she worked at Brockway Standard during the week and as an EMT on the weekends. She enjoyed gardening in her younger years and later in life she enjoyed crocheting, embroidering, and quilting. Mrs. James was a member of Place of Blessings Church of God.

Along with her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Alton James; one daughter, Verna Price; one son, Vernie Stewart, Jr.; one grandson, Robert Leroy Cox, Jr.; two sons-in-law, Carl Manac and Armon Price, Sr.; four sisters, Ruby Cloud Lowe, Bennie Cloud Smith, Dorothy Cloud Chauncey, and Myrtice Cloud Ward; five brothers, Eugene Cloud, McBride Cloud, Jr., Thomas Cloud, William Cloud, and Charlie Cloud.

Survivors include two daughters, Gail Manac (Ronnie Colbert) of Argyle and Karyl Sue Cox (Robert) of Perry, FL; one son, Charlie Stewart (Sandy) of Homerville; seven grandchildren, Karla Manac Lane (Lee), Carl Dewayne Manac (Veronica Sawyer), Christin Cox (Kenny Fowler), Robbie Sue Smith (Brad), Will Price (Mary Beth), Charlie Stewart (Kendra), Cindy Stewart (Edward Herndon); twenty great-grandchildren, Kathryn Bennett, Trey Bennett, Kylee Bennett, Candace Richardson, Alyssia Swinson, Larry Smith, Chloe Williams, Joey Williams, Conner Williams, Trent Black, Avonlea Black, Jasper Smith, Braylee Smith, Rebekah Price, Jacob Price, Leigha Price, Kaylynn Steedley, Makenzie Stewart, Rachel Stewart, Hailey Stewart; numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives.

A funeral service will be held Wednesday morning at 11 am at Place of Blessings Church of God. Burial will follow in Pine Forest Cemetery.

The family will receive friends Tuesday evening from 6 pm until 8 pm at the funeral home.
