Martha Lashley Weldon

Mrs. Martha Ruth Weldon, 71, passed away Friday, May 1, 2020, at her home in Blackshear, surrounded by her loving family, following an extended illness. Mrs. Weldon was born November 18, 1948, in Fitzgerald, GA to the late Jessie Lashley and Susie Fountain Lashley. She had lived in Lakeland, GA before moving to Blackshear several years ago. She attended the Baptist Church. Survivors are her husband: Henry Hess, Blackshear, GA; one daughter: Ann Weldon, Cairo, GA; three sons: Linder Weldon, Adel, GA, Edward W. Weldon, Lakeland, GA and Cherokee Weldon, Pierce County, GA; one sister: Carolyn Rogers, Winter Garden, FL; two brothers: William Jim Lashley and Clender Lashley, both of Adel, GA; ten grandchildren; a number of nieces, nephews and other relatives. Graveside services for Mrs. Weldon will be held Sunday, May 3, 2020 in the Empire Cemetery, Lakeland, GA. Sympathy maybe expressed by signing the online registry at www.roundtreefuneralhome.net.
