Lawton Terry Allen, 75, of Homerville passed away early Wednesday morning, March 26, 2025, at his residence after an extended illness. He was born in Homerville to the late Lawton P. Allen and Grace Parrish Allen and lived here all of his life. Mr. Allen was a 1969 graduate of Clinch County High School. He retired from B-Way after 44 years of service as an Electrician. Mr. Allen was a member of Trinity Baptist Church. He always loved to fish, watch his children and grandchildren play sports, working in the yard, travelling to the mountains and especially holding his great grandbabies.
Along with his parents he was preceded in death by two infant brothers.
Survivors include his wife of 54 years, Maudie Mattox Allen of Homerville; one daughter and son-in-law, Lynn and Shawn Hulett of Homerville; one son and daughter-in-law, Shannon and Shasta Allen of Clinch County; five grandchildren, Olen Hulett (wife Jessie) of Valdosta, Skyler Hulett (wife Caroline) of Homerville, Hyson Hulett of Homerville, Landan M. Allen, Mattox Allen and eight foreign exchange students of Clinch County; two great-grandchildren, Oliver Hulett and Becklynn Hulett; one sister and brother-in-law, Susan and Scotty Campbell of Sardis, GA; several nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
The family will receive friends beginning at 10 am Saturday morning at Trinity Baptist Church.
A funeral service will be held Saturday morning, March 29, 2025, at 11 am at Trinity Baptist Church with Rev. David Johnson officiating. Burial will follow in Pine Forest Cemetery.
