Laura Lee Bennett

Mrs. Laura Lee Zeigler Bennett, 86, passed away Tuesday, January 21, 2019, at her residence, surrounded by her loving family, following an extended illness. Mrs. Bennett was born May 20, 1933, in Stockton, GA to the late Jeff Zeigler and Daisy Tomlinson Zeigler. She was retired from B-Way. She was preceded in death by her husband: Bennie Gordan Bennett; one sister: Muriel O’Quinn; four brothers: J. W. Zeigler, Eugene Zeigler, Bobby Zeigler and Junior Zeigler. Survivors are one daughter and son-in-law: Marleen & Leonard Grantham, Ozark, AL; two sons and daughters-in-law: Mervin & Mary Lynn Bennett, Homerville and Hal G. & Becky Bennett, Monticello, FL; one brother: Bonnie Zeigler, Albany, GA; eight grandchildren: Scott Fender and fiancé Melissa Christie, Brandy Bennett and fiancé Will Cooke , Blake Bennett, Connor & Coner Yost Bennett, Tracy Stalvey, Stacie & Eric Hendrix, Melissa & Johnny Gilberth and Lanier & Kelly Griffis; fifteen great grandchildren; daughter-in-love: Katie Bennett; a number of nieces, nephews and other relatives. Funeral services for Mrs. Bennett will be held Thursday, January 23, 2020 at two o’clock at the Wayfare Primitive Baptist Church. Interment will be in the Wayfare Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends Thursday, January 23, 2020 from 1 till 2 p.m. at the church. Sympathy maybe expressed by signing the online registry at www.roundtreefuneralhome.net.
