Alfred Lamar Jordan, Sr., 72, of Homerville passed away Sunday morning (August 1, 2021) at South Georgia Medical Center after a sudden illness. He was born in Homerville and lived here all of his life. Mr. Jordan was a 1967 graduate of Clinch County High School. He was owner of J & J Logging and J & J Blueberries. Mr. Jordan was a member of New Vision Church of God and always enjoyed serving on mission trips. He played basketball in high school and always enjoyed fishing and car racing.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Velma Deese Jordan; twin sons, Mikell Randell Jordan and Mitchell Wendell Jordan.
Survivors include four children, Tammy Roundtree (Wayne) of Pearson, Al Jordan of Travisville, Nicole Raffield (Stanley) of Dupont, Tony Jordan (Anisa) of Dupont; father, Alfred Jordan of Homerville; eight grandchildren, John Roundtree (Milyn), Heather Long, Krystin Gray (John), Justin Jordan (Catherine), Jessica Burkett, Gage Raffield, Destiny Raffield, Brandon Jordan (Ellissa); four great-grandchildren, Camden Roundtree, Logan Roundtree, Madilynn White, and Alora Burkett; one sister, Jan Touchton (Gene) of Homerville; one brother, Troy Allen Jordan (Regina) of Jasper, FL; numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
A funeral service will be held Wednesday morning at 10 am at New Vision Church of God. Burial will follow in Shiloh Cemetery.
The family will receive friends Tuesday evening from 6 pm until 8 pm at the funeral home.
