Miss Katilyn Alexis Smith, 17, passed away, Saturday, March 6, 2021, in the Clinch Memorial Hospital, following an automobile accident.
Miss Smith was born, July 26, 2003, in Valdosta, GA. She was a Senior at Clinch County High School where she was a member of the Dance Line of the Marching Band of Pride, member of the FFA and had just started the CNA Class. She was attending the Statenville Church of God and was preceded in death by her maternal grandmother: Sue Hutchinson and maternal grandfather: Jackie Lambert.
Survivors are her mother and step-father: Brandy Nichole Herrington Brantley and John Brantley, Valdosta; her father: James Matthew Raymond Smith, Valdosta; one sister: Mackencie Brantley, Valdosta; four brothers: Trinton Smith, Naylor, Jayden Brantley, Baxley, Christopher Browning and Zander Raines, Valdosta, her paternal grandparents: Reggie and Beverly Smith, Homerville; maternal grandmother: Rhea Armentrout, Valdosta; uncle/Brother: Keith Smith, Homerville; a number of uncles, aunts, cousins, and other relatives.
Funeral services for Miss Smith will be held Tuesday, March 9, 2021 at eleven o’clock at the Statenville Church of God.
Interment will be in the Pine Forest Cemetery, Homerville.
The family will receive friends Monday, March 8, 2021 from 6 till 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
Miss Smith will be carried to the church one hour prior to the services.
