Judy Deon McMillan Johnston, 71, of Homerville passed away Tuesday, April 15, 2025, at Memorial Hospital in Jacksonville, FL after a brief illness. She was born in Shreveport, Louisiana to the late Benjamin and Deon Smith McMillan. Mrs. Johnston lived in Homerville most of her life and was a self-employed Painter. She was a 1976 graduate of Clinch County High School. Mrs. Johnston always enjoyed camping, fishing, and hunting.
Along with her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Billy Joe Johnston; four brothers, Douglas McMillan, Benji McMillan, David McMillan, and Joe S. McMillan.
Survivors include two daughters, Julie Music (James) of Homerville, and Caroline Roundtree (Kenny Thompson) of Homeland, GA; two sons, Jimbo Cox (Connie) of Savannah, and Billy Johnston (Melissa) of Homerville; thirteen grandchildren, Dustin Cox, Kailey Cox, Braydon Cox, Caleb Johnston (Madison), Caitlin Jewell (Cody), Dillion Allen (Noel), Taylor Roundtree, Olivia Rojo, Layla Espino, Angel Johnston, William Johnston, Mitch Roundtree, Brock Roundtree; four great-grandchildren; two brothers, Jackie McMillan of Valdosta and Alan McMillan (Missy) of Manor; several nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
A funeral service will be held Friday afternoon, April 18, 2025, at 3 pm at the Chapel of Roundtree Funeral Home with Rev. W.G. Smith officiating. Burial will follow in Pine Forest Cemetery.
The family will receive friends Thursday evening from 6 pm until 8 pm at Roundtree Funeral Home.
