Juanita Gray Johnson, 89, of Homerville passed away Thursday morning (Nov. 11, 2021) at her residence after a short illness. She was born in Samson, AL to the late Willie and Maggie Michaux Gray. Mrs. Johnson lived in Homerville most of her life and retired from Brockway Standard after forty years of service. She was a member of New Vision Church of God, Senior Citizens Center, and loved flowers and cats.
Along with her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Joe “Shorty” Johnson; one brother, R.L. Gray.
Survivors include two daughters, Wanda Williams of Darien, GA, and Jane Smith (husband Garry) of Sylvester, GA; one son, Donald Johnson (wife Darlene) of Homerville; three grandchildren, Pam Johnson, Albert Williams (Kristin), and Jenna Vance (Will); two cats, Bunnie and Missy.
A graveside service will be held Saturday morning at 11 am at Pine Forest Cemetery.
The family will receive friends Saturday morning at 10:30 at the cemetery.
