Mrs. Jane Golden Martinez, 89, passed away Thursday, March 25, 2021, at her residence following an extended illness. Mrs. Martinez was born, September 18, 1931, in Lake Haven, FL, to the late Wesley Golden and Ruby Lea Roberts Golden. She was a homemaker and was a member of the Trinity Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband: Frank Martinez; one daughter: Charlotte Holmes and one sister Charlotte O’Connell. Survivors are one daughter: Margaret Merritt, Homerville; two sons: William (Bill) Martinez (Julie), Americus, GA, and Michael (Mike) Martinez (Barbara), Homerville; 12 grandchildren: Victoria Carroll, Joseph Merritt, Tonya (Lewis) Hughes, Melissa (Craig) Smith, Catherine (Lavell) Gilliam, Jason (Katina Merritt, Misty (Joel) Pittman, Kristie (Michael) Watson, Robin (Summer) Merritt, Hannah (Gage) Sipple, William Jr. (Brittany) Martinez and John Michael Martinez; 35 great grandchildren, 4 great great grandchildren, a number of nieces, nephews and other relatives. Funeral services for Mrs. Martinez will be held Monday, March 29, 2021 at eleven o’clock at the Trinity Baptist Church. Interment to follow at Shiloh Church Cemetery.
