James Leon 'Jimmy' Nipper, Sr. Mr. James Leon 'Jimmy' Nipper, Sr., 71, of Homerville, Georgia, passed away Saturday, October 13, 2018 after a brief illness. Jimmy was born in Douglas, Georgia on April 4, 1947 to the late Elijah Leon Nipper and Willie Mae Nipper. He was a "jack of all trades," working at a truck driver, EMT, deputy sheriff, and security guard. He loved working with his hands and he could be found tinkering on projects on his back porch or in the yard. He was proceeded in death by his parents, one daughter, Lisa Berry, and two sisters, Linda Sue Nipper and Phyllis McNeal. Jimmy is survived by his wife, Peggy Nipper of Homerville; two daughters and sons-in-law, Michelle & Randy Davis of Baxley, Georgia and Shanna & Jeremy Adkins of Hahira, Georgia; one son and daughter-in-law, James & Laura Nipper; one step-daughter, Sandra Delk of Homerville; one step-son and daughter-in-law, Roy & Rosie Delk of Savannah, Georgia; two sisters, Pat Harper of Hazlehurst, Georgia and Brenda & Donald Reeves of Tennessee; 15 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; a very special dog, Butch; and a number of nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held Monday, October 15, 2018 at 2 p.m. at Roundtree Funeral Home in Homerville, Georgia. Memorialization will be by cremation.
