Mr. Homer Lee Brown, Sr., 77, passed away Monday, February 17, 2020, in the Doctors Hospital of Augusta, surrounded by his loving family, following a brief illness. Mr. Brown was born April 3, 1942, in Nashville, GA to the late Manning S. Brown and Pinkie Sweat Brown. He was a farmer. He was preceded in death by five brothers: M. B. Brown, Mack Brown, Walter Brown, Jack Brown and Herman Brown; four sisters: Blanche Hahn, Doris Abbott, Betty Johnson and Lucille Hancock. Survivors are his wife: Hazel Brown, Midville, GA; one daughter and son-in-law: Melinda & Jerry Davis, Homerville; two sons and daughters-in-law: Lee & Libby Brown and Les & Terri Brown, all of Homerville; seven grandchildren: Emily (Roy) Mohr, Milton, FL, Cale (Betsy) Davis, Homerville, GA, Erica (Derek) Strickland, Homerville, Devin (Heather) Brown, Homerville, Cody Brown, Nashville, GA, Chazy (Sean) Peebles, Nashville, GA and Landon Brown, Homerville; nine great grandchildren, several nieces, nephews and a number of other relatives. Funeral services for Mr. Brown will be held Thursday, February 20, 2020 at two o’clock at the New Vision Church of God. Interment will be in the North Cemetery, DuPont, GA. The family will receive friends Wednesday, February 19, 2020 from six till eight p.m. at the funeral home. Mr. Brown will be carried to the church one hour prior to the services.
