Mrs. Helen Myrtle Watson, 83, passed away Monday, July 15, 2019, at her residence, following a brief illness. Mrs. Watson was born April 11, 1936, in Piedmont, AL to the late Calvin Hooper and Rena Weaver Hooper. She had worked at BarkPile in Fargo and was a homemaker. She was preceded in death by her husband: William Worth Watson, Sr. and three brothers: Willie Hooper, Wayne Hooper, Bobby Jean Hooper, and one sister, Janie Sue Hooper. Survivors are two daughters: Diane (Henry) Tiner and Felicia (Johnny Ray) Thomas, Homerville; three sons: Gary (Shanda) Lankford, Waycross, Travis Lamar Lankford, Valdosta and William Worth Watson, Jr., Florida; two sisters: Linda (Marvin) Brookshire, Calhoun, GA and Pat (Carlvin) Manac, DuPont; one brother: Donald Hooper, Homerville; eight grandchildren, twelve great grandchildren, a number of nieces, nephews and other relatives. Funeral services for Mrs. Watson will be held Thursday, July 18, 2019 at three o’clock in the Chapel of Roundtree Funeral Home. Interment will be in the Providence Camp Branch Cemetery, Manor.
