Geraldine “Gerrie” Tomlinson Delk, 88, of Homerville passed away early Sunday morning, March 30, 2025, at her son’s residence after an extended illness. She was born in Valdosta to the late Charlie M. Tomlinson and Vinettia Livingston Tomlinson and lived in Homerville most of her life. She worked for Brockway Standard for 13 years and was the Secretary for Delk Post Company for over thirty years. Mrs. Delk was a member of New Vision Church of God.
Along with her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, William Henry “Boss” Delk; three sons, Tommy Delk, Ronnie Delk, and Randall Delk; one daughter-in-law, Linda Delk; one sister, Doris Bennett; two brothers, Leonard Tomlinson and Needham Tomlinson.
Survivors include one son, Wayne Delk of Homerville; one daughter-in-law, Rosalind Delk of Homerville; four grandchildren, Brian and Holly Delk, Ron and Morgan Delk, Rusty and Maura Delk, and Dianna and Michael Herrin all of Homerville; fourteen great-grandchildren, Maggie Delk, Kearson Delk, Gracie Herrin, Cody Herrin, Allie Delk, Malorie Delk, Tatum Delk, Saylor Delk, Ellie Ann Morris, Mattox Morris, Landon Delk, Ella Kate Delk, Addison Pittman, and Emma Howell; one great-great grandchildren, Brody Lee Williams; several nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
A funeral service will be held Wednesday morning, April 2, 2025, at 11 am at New Vision Church of God. Burial will follow in Pine Forest Cemetery.
The family will receive friends beginning at 10 am at New Vision Church of God.
