Frances Evelyn Deese

Mrs. Frances Evelyn Nettles Deese, 78, passed away Friday, February 28, 2020, in the UF Health Hospital, Jacksonville, FL, following a brief illness. Mrs. Deese was born March 27, 1941, in Homerville to the late Thomas Jefferson Nettles and Minnie Inez Boatwright Nettles. She worked at Champion as a lumber dryer. She was preceded in death by her husband: Homer Leroy Deese; one son: Homer F. “Buddy” Deese; five brothers: Thomas Henry Nettles, William Edgar Nettles, James Marvin Nettles, Albert Morris Nettles and Earnest Randle Nettles. Survivors are one son: Raymond Deese, Argyle; two sisters and brother-in-law: Irene & Pete Lashley, Homerville and Clara Carter, Arkansas; four grandchildren: Anthony M. Corbitt, Homer Lee Deese, Earnest Morris Deese and Sharon Hope Cook; four great grandchildren: Shonna Wiggins, Jacob Daniel Wiggins, Jayden Corbitt and Renesmee Corbitt; several nieces, nephews and a number of other relatives. Funeral services for Mrs. Deese will be held Monday, March 2, 2020 at two o’clock at the Shiloh Church. Interment will be in the Shiloh Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends Monday, March 2, 2020 from one till two p.m. at Shiloh Church. Sympathy maybe expressed by signing the online registry at www.roundtreefuneralhome.net.
