Ellison Deloach Smith

Ellison Deloach Smith, 81, of Manor passed away Monday morning, January 8, 2024, at Coffee Regional Medical Center after a short illness. He was born in Manor to the late Ellison Arnold Smith, Sr. and Olga Zenell McQuaig Smith. Mr. Smith graduated from Manor High School in 1962 and was a member of Zenith Baptist Church. He retired from Voith Fabrics after many years of service.

Along with his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, Shirley Marie Young Smith; one brother, Calvin Sim Smith.

Survivors include one daughter and son-in-law, Sherry and Barry Barnes of Manor, one son and daughter-in-law, Calvin and Ivy Kaye Smith of Valdosta; two grandchildren, Ashley and Daniel Frazier of Valdosta, and Cody Barnes of Manor; one great grandson, James Frazier of Valdosta; one brother and sister-in-law, Arnold and Linda Smith of Manor; one sister, Zenell Butler of Manor; several nieces, nephews, and other relatives.

A funeral service will be held Thursday morning, January 11, 2024, at 11 am at Victory Methodist Church in Manor. Burial will follow in Victory Methodist Church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends beginning at 10 am Thursday morning at the church.

Honorary pallbearers will be classmates of Manor High School Class of 1962 and should meet at the church by 10:45 Thursday morning for the service.
