Dorothy Faye Carlson Inman, 84, of Manor went home to be with her Lord and Savior Thursday evening (May 6, 2021) surrounded by her loving family after a short illness. She was born in Ware County to the late V.J. and Alma Robbins Carlson and lived in Manor most of her life. Mrs. Inman was a very supportive Pastor’s wife alongside her husband until his death in January 2018. In addition to the Pastor’s wife duties she was a homemaker and always had an encouraging word for anyone she talked with. She was a member of Place of Blessings Church of God in Argyle.
Along with her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Rev. David L. Inman; one grandson, Aress Johnson; one great-grandson, John Michael Steedley, Jr.; one son-in-law, David Earl Holmes; two sisters, Evelyn Lynn and Mary Lane; one brother, H.E. Carlson.
Survivors include seven children, Becky Daniels (Ellis) of Manor, Darlene Daniels (Larry) of Brantley County, Diane Oliver (Wayne) of Manor, Elaine Tyson (Terry) of Homerville, Janet Chauncey (Jimmy) of Manor, , Rev. Samuel David Inman (Shirley) of Manor, Delores Johnson (Michael) of Brantley County ; forty grandchildren, fifty great-grandchildren, eleven great-great grandchildren; numerous step great-grandchildren; one brother, Jim Carlson (Kathi) of Blackshear; numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
A funeral service will be held Monday afternoon (May 10, 2021) at 3 pm at Place of Blessings Church of God in Argyle. Burial will follow in New Prospect Cemetery.
The family will receive friends Sunday evening beginning at 6 pm at Place of Blessings Church of God in Argyle.
