Dennis Troy Bell, 75, of Homerville, passed away Wednesday morning, May 1, 2024, at his residence after a brief illness. He was born in Monroe, GA to the late Troy and Rubye Griffis Bell Sims and lived in Homerville most of his life. Mr. Bell graduated from Clinch County High School in 1966. He owned and operated Dennis Bell Trucking for many years, and the past twenty-five years worked with Bell’s Berry Patch. Mr. Bell was a member of First Baptist Church and Lake Verne Hunting Club. He always enjoyed dog hunting and especially farming.
Along with his parents he was preceded in death by one sister, Donna Bell; one brother, Larry Bell.
Survivors include one son and daughter-in-law, Jason and Heather Bell of Homerville; two grandchildren, Tison Bell and Maggie Bell both of Homerville; many cousins, and a host of friends.
A funeral service will be held Friday afternoon, May 3, 2024, at 3 pm at First Baptist Church. Burial will follow in Shiloh Cemetery.
The family will receive friends Friday afternoon from 2 pm until 2:45 pm at First Baptist Church.
The family requests the Lake Verne Hunting Club members to serve as Honorary Pallbearers and should meet at the church by 2:45 pm Friday for the service.
