Homerville

Deanie Ferrell Hill, Sr., 67, of Homerville passed away Sunday, June 16, 2024, at his residence after a short illness. He was born in Homerville to the late Daniel B. and Mary Ann Pittman Hill and lived here most of his life. Mr. Hill worked for Pull Tight Farms as a Blueberry Farmer. He was a member of Shiloh Church and enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, and working blueberries.

Along with his parents he was preceded in death by one sister, Linda Powell; three brothers, David A. Hill, Mark Hill, and Charles Hill.

Survivors include his wife Carleen Wilson Hill of Homerville; two sons and daughters-in-law, Deanie and Jolina Hill, Jr. of Valdosta, and Densil and Elizabeth Hill of Hahira; two step-daughters and sons-in-law, Brook and Kevin Allen of Homerville, and Holly and Brian Delk of Homerville; four grandchildren, Hayden and Olivia Allen, Lane Allen, Maggie Delk, and Allie Delk; two great grandchildren, Judson Jimmy Allen and Addie Rea Allen; two brothers and a sister-in-law, Daniel and Wanda Hill of Lake City, FL, and Dwight Hill of Jasper, FL; three sisters, Mary Henderson of Waverly, GA, Jean Rewis of Homerville, and Dorothy Ballance of Homerville; numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives.

A memorial service will be held Saturday, June 22, 2024, at 12 noon at Shiloh Church. Inurnment will follow in Shiloh Cemetery.

The family will receive friends Saturday morning beginning at 11 am at the church.
