David Richard McMillan, 60, of Homerville passed away Thursday morning (June 3, 2021) at South Georgia Medical Center after a short illness. He was born in Shreveport, Louisiana to the late Benjamin and Deon Smith McMillan. Mr. McMillan lived in Homerville most of his life where he owned and operated McMillan and Wife Painting. He enjoyed football and especially dirt track racing.
Along with his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Lynn McMillan; grandson, Caiden Andrew McMillan; two brothers, Douglas Wayne McMillan and Benji McMillan.
Survivors include two sons, Malcolm McMillan (wife Jessica) of Homerville, and Daniel McMillan of Homerville; two grandchildren, Cam McMillan and Kinzlee Anna McMillan; one sister, Judy Johnston of Homerville; three brothers, Jackie McMillan (wife Katrina) of Valdosta, Alan McMillan (wife Missy) of Manor, Joe S. McMillan of Homerville; numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
A funeral service will be held Sunday afternoon at 2 pm at Turner Primitive Baptist Church in Enigma. Burial will follow in Turner Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery.
The family will receive friends Saturday evening from 6 – 8 pm at the funeral home.
