Danny Cason

Jesse Daniel “Danny” Cason, 68, of Homerville passed away Sunday morning, March 5, 2023 at his residence after an extended illness. He was born in Fernandina Beach, FL to the late Lewis Daniel and Nellie Jane Kight Cason and graduated from Clinch County High School in 1972. Mr. Cason retired from Windstream as a Customer Service Technician after many years of service. He was a member of New Vision Church of God.

Along with his parents he was preceded in death by his first wife, Rita Cason and one daughter, Danielle Cason; one brother, Raymond Cason; four sisters, Katie Boston, Shirley Rebecca Cason, Jean Bennett and Myrtle Douglas.

Survivors include his wife of thirty-seven years, Joyce Morgan Cason of Homerville; three sons, Lucas Cason and his wife Lisie of Homerville, Daniel Cason and his wife Mariella of Homerville, and Jimmy Pittman of Brunswick; ten grandchildren, Raelyn, Kameron, Walker, Steven, Breanna, Taliyah, Danny, Jacob, Ryan, and Eli; four great grandchildren, Ivy, Gia, Aubree, and Hallie;  two sisters, Latrelle Wrye of Stockton and Verna Nell Thomas of Valdosta; two brothers, Ronnie Cason and his wife Faye of Millwood and Billy Cason and his wife Patricia of Blairsville; several nieces, nephews, and other relatives.

A funeral service will be held Wednesday morning, March 8, 2023, at 11 am at New Vision Church of God. Burial will follow in Shiloh Cemetery.

The family will receive friends Tuesday evening from 6 until 8 pm at New Vision Church of God.
