Connie Inman Robbins Rice, 74, of Homerville passed away Wednesday morning, May 8, 2024, at The Canopy at Azalea Grove in Valdosta after an extended illness. She was born in Homerville to the late Charlie and Edna Cason Inman and lived in Homerville most of her life. Mrs. Rice was a 1967 graduate of Clinch County High School and was a member of the the Red Hat Ladies and the Emmaus Community.
Along with her parents she was preceded in death by her husbands, Charlie Robbins and Chuck Rice; stepdaughter, Barbara Bennett Rice Smith; stepson, Bret Rice.
Survivors include twin daughters and sons-in-law, Candie and Randy Lott of Hahira and Stephanie and Jim Stovall of Homerville; one son and daughter-in-law, Chad and Christie Robbins of St. Simon Island, GA; four grandchildren, Cason Lott of Marietta, Jake Stovall (fiancé Haiden) of Atlanta, Corben Locey (Tony) of Homerville, Warren Stovall of Valdosta; stepson, Joel Rice of Atlanta; numerous other loving family members and a host of friends.
A funeral service will be held Saturday afternoon, May 11, 2024, at 4 pm at Homerville Methodist Church. Burial will follow in Pine Forest Cemetery.
The family will receive friends Saturday from 2 pm until 3:45 pm at the Homerville Methodist Church Fellowship Hall.
The family requests the Clinch County High School Class of 1967 and the Red Hat Ladies to serve as Honorary Pallbearers and should meet at the church by 3:45 Saturday for the service.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Mtn2Sea Ministries, 111 Cater St., St. Simons Island, GA 31522.
