Cliff Bennett, 78, of Homerville, Georgia passed away peacefully after a brief illness surround by loved ones at home on June 4, 2023. Cliff was born in Lanier County to the late William Oliver Bennett and Elizabeth Fender Bennett Hughes, but was raised and lived all of his life in Clinch County. He was a hardworking man and spent nearly 50 years with B-way Corporation in Homerville. Cliff was one to rarely ever complain and loved spending time outdoors and with his family, especially his two and only grandchildren.
Along with his parents he was proceeded in death by his loving wife of 41 years, Jacqueline “Jackie” Louise Holmes Bennett; brothers: Clyde Bennett and Wilbur Bennett. sisters: Mary Jane Corbitt and Louise Warren.
Cliff is survived by one son and daughter-in-law, Ed and Janet Spradley Bennett of Homerville; two grandchildren, Heather and Zackary Bennett of Homerville; sister, Maggie Gaskins, of Daytona, FL; as well as numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives.
A funeral service will be held Wednesday morning, June 7, 2023, at 11 am at the Roundtree Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in Shiloh Cemetery.
The family will receive friends Wednesday morning beginning at 10 am at the funeral home.
