Betty Burch

Betty Latrelle Spivey Burch, 82, of Homerville passed away Thursday night (April 22, 2021) at Baptist Village in Waycross after an extended illness. She was born in Axson, GA to the late Curtis and Myrtle Spivey and was a graduate of Atkinson County High School. Ms. Burch retired from Clinch Memorial Hospital as a Licensed Practical Nurse after thirty years of service. She was of the Church of God faith. Ms. Burch loved her grandchildren, her cats, and any animals.

Along with her parents she was preceded in death by one son, Keith Gregory Giddens; daughter, Donna Bridgett Giddens; grandson, Cody Tyler Burch.

Survivors include two sons, Luke Burch (wife April), and Hank Burch (wife Tracy) all of Homerville; six grandchildren, Mary Hannah Mills (husband Brett) of Lakeland, Lille Knox, Tyler Knox, and Allie Roberson all of Waycross, Dustin Burch (Brooklyn), and Emma Burch all of Homerville, Becky Goodwin of Valdosta, and Joshua Martindale of Louisiana; two great grandchildren, Bailey Mills and Landon Mills; one sister, Carolyn Mikell of Homerville; one nephew, Tony Mikell (wife Sherry) of Homerville; and other relatives.

A memorial service will be held Monday afternoon at 4 pm at the chapel of Roundtree Funeral Home.

The family will receive friends beginning at 3 pm at the funeral home.
