Barbara Jean Parker Hull, 84, of Rockingham, North Carolina, passed away peacefully on March 21, 2025, in her home, surrounded by her loving family. Her departure leaves a profound void in the hearts of all who knew her, but her spirit will forever remain a guiding light in their lives.

Born on October 22, 1940, in Perry, Florida, Barbara was the cherished daughter of the late Raymond Anders Parker and Ruth Tomlinson Parker. She dedicated her life to her family, embodying the essence of a devoted homemaker. Barbara's unwavering love for her husband, children, and grandchildren was the cornerstone of her existence. She found immense joy in nurturing her family and instilled in them the values of kindness, faith, and compassion.

Barbara's love story with her husband, James Brantley Hull Jr. (J.B.), was one for the ages. Together, they created a beautiful life filled with laughter, adventure, and cherished memories. In their later years, they traveled together, exploring new places and deepening their bond. Barbara's selflessness and caring nature touched the lives of many, and her warmth radiated to everyone she encountered.

Her grandchildren and great-grandchildren were the apples of her eye, bringing her immeasurable joy and pride. She delighted in their accomplishments and cherished every moment spent with them. Barbara also held a special place in her heart for her siblings and numerous nieces and nephews, with whom she shared countless memories and laughter.

Barbara was preceded in death by her beloved husband, J.B., her brother Ray Parker (Buddy), and her stepson, James Brantley Hull III (Jody). She is survived by her devoted children: Tami Hull Thomas of Rockingham, NC; Michelle Hull Croke and husband Keith of Ellerbe, NC; Renee Hull James and husband Robbie of Rockingham, NC; stepdaughter Vicky Hull Bennett and Larry of Labelle, FL; and stepson Bennie Biddle of Palatka, FL.

Her legacy continues through her grandchildren: Jennifer Michelle Brown of Rockingham, NC; Kaci Michelle Croke of Ellerbe, NC; Alec Brant Poplin of Rockingham, NC; Jo Cooley of Palatka, FL; Thomas Bennett of Maine; and Katy Biddle of Palatka, FL. She also leaves behind her great-grandchildren: Jarrett Pate Lockey of Boone, NC, and Kovi Michelle Croke of Ellerbe, NC. Barbara is survived by her siblings: Fay Parker Langley, Larry William Parker and wife Gail, and Sandra Parker Black and husband Mike, all of Palatka, FL. Additionally, she held a special bond with her dear family friend, Brenda Masters Whitehead of North Myrtle Beach, SC, who was like a daughter to her.

The family will receive friends and family on Thursday, March 27, at 1:00 PM at Arabia Primitive Baptist Church in Homerville, GA. A funeral service will follow at 2:00 PM with Bishop Marvin Taylor officiating, with burial in Arabia Cemetery.

In honoring Barbara's life, let us remember her as a beacon of love, faith, and family. Her legacy will live on in the hearts of all who were fortunate enough to know her. May she rest in eternal peace.
