Arlene Davis Browning

March 20, 1951 — November 23, 2021

Arlene Davis Browning, 70, of Homerville passed away (Nov. 23, 2021) at her residence after an extended illness. She was born in Albany, GA to the late Robert and Christeen Thornton Davis. Mrs. Browning lived in Homerville most of her life where she was a nurse and worked in the nursing home and a visiting nurse. She was a member of Unity Church. Mrs. Browning always enjoyed yard sales and shopping, car races, go cart races, and especially working the concession stand at the Homerville Hustler Speedway. She was a caretaker for her whole family and especially loved her children and grandchildren. Mrs. Browning was one blessed woman.

Along with her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, William Eston Browning; one grandson, Cameron Corbitt; three sisters, Helen Helfrich, Lois Smith, and Shirley Wilson; two brothers, Cecil Davis and Raymond Davis.

Survivors include three children, William Alton Browning (wife Jennifer) of Homerville, Tony Browning of Homerville, and Nancy B. Corbitt (husband Danny) of Homerville; eight grandchildren, Brian Browning (wife Kyla) of Homerville, Brooklyn Tomlinson (husband Michael) of Naylor, Torrie Browning of Homerville, Bryar Browning of Homerville, Tricity Browning Ayscue (husband Jacob) of Homerville, Bubba Corbitt of Homerville, Madison Corbitt of Homerville, and Madalynn Corbitt of Homerville; ten great-grandchildren, Libby Anna Browning, Embry Browning, Madison Tomlinson, James Tomlinson, Branson Ayscue, Brody Browning, Addy Corbitt, Colby Corbitt, Grayson Corbitt, and Kam Corbitt; one brother, Robert Davis (wife Brenda) of Ohio; two sisters, Mary Poff of Blackshear, and Diane Moore of Blackshear; three special people in her life, Samajun McGhee, Misty Griffis, and Jennifer Browning; several nieces, nephews and other relatives.

A funeral service will be held Saturday morning at 11 am at Unity Church in Homerville. Burial will follow in Fender Cemetery in Lakeland.

The family will receive friends Friday evening from 6 – 8 pm at the funeral home.
