Anthony James Smith

Mr. Anthony James Smith, 61, passed away Saturday, October 26, 2024, at his residence following a long illness.

Mr. Smith was born March 5, 1963 to the late James Hewitt Smith and Myrna Ann Brown Lee.

He was self-employed and a member of the Trinity Baptist Church. He was an avid reader and enjoyed music.

Survivors are one daughter and son-in-law: Natasha & Ben Gillis, DuPont; three grandchildren: Hunter Gillis, Fisher Gillis & Edward Gillis, all of DuPont; three sisters and brother-in-laws: Teresa & Wesley James, Danielle & Danny Fann & Jessica Lee, all of Homerville; his step-father: Thomas E. “Tommy” Lee, Homerville, several nieces, nephews, and other relatives.

Graveside services for Mr. Smith will be Thursday, Oct. 31, 2024, at 3:30 in the Shiloh Cemetery. Officiating will be Rev. David Johnson.

Memorialization will be by cremation.
