Aaron Eugene Moore, 83, of Homerville passed away Friday evening at his residence after a short illness. He was born in Ware County to the late Byron Elisha and Beatrice Croft Moore. He lived in Clinch County most of his life and worked at Standard Container for many years and was a self-employed painter. Mr. Moore always enjoyed fishing and piddling.
Survivors include his wife Iva Elaine Guthrie Moore of Homerville; one daughter and son-in-law, Lana Beth and William Layton of Meigs, GA; one son and daughter-in-law, Danny and Petra Moore of Douglas; three grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; four step-sons and daughters-in-law, Henry Smith, Herschel and Missy Smith, and Martin and Kim Smith all of Homerville, Aaron Tomlinson of Nashville, GA; nine step grandchildren; nine step great-grandchildren; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Frances and Jimmy Cribbs of Waycross, Linda and Don Jones of Brunswick; three brothers and sisters-in-law, Mason and Linda Moore of Homerville, Henry and Leah Moore of Jacksonville, FL, and Buddy and Melanie Moore of Waycross; numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
A graveside memorial service will be held Thursday morning, August 24, 2023, at 9 am at Fargo Memorial Cemetery.
