Clera Mae Ammons

Mrs. Clera Mae Kight Ammons, 88, passed away Wednesday, Dec. 15, 2010, at the Bacon County Hospital. Mrs. Ammons was born March 13, 1922 in Homerville, to the late Cary Olen Kight and Lille Mae Smith Kight. She was a member of the Shiloh Southern Congregational Methodist Church and had worked for the Ammons Grocery and Mullis Manor Nursing Home. She was the widow of Ward Ammons and was preceded in death by two brothers W.M. Kight and Lois Melvin Kight. Survivors are two sons and daughters-in-law: Earl and Connie Ammons, and Colin and Jenelle Ammons all of Manor Ga. and one daughter and son-in-law Kathy and Eddie Bishop of Alma, GA.; seven grandchildren, and eleven great grandchildren and several other relatives. Services for Mrs. Ammons will be held Friday, December 17, 2010 at 2 p.m. from the Shiloh Southern Congregational Methodist Church in Homerville. Internment will be in the Shiloh Church Cemetery. Roundtree Funeral Home is serving the Ammons Family.
