Homerville, GA Mr. Joe Tom Jackson, 80, passed away Sunday, Nov. 7, 2010, at his residence following an extended illness. Mr. Jackson was born Nov. 30, 1929, in Geneva, Alabama. He was a retired dump truck driver and was a veteran of the U. S. Navy serving during the Korean Conflict. Survivors are his wife: Martha Ann Lewis Jackson, Chancellor, AL; five daughters: Teresa Chapman & Holly Corbitt, both of Pearson, Julie Jackson & Connie Jackson, both of Winter Garden, FL and Beverly Anderson, Axson, GA: one brother: Charles “Kenny” Spann, Ozark, AL; ten grandchildren and several other relatives. Services for Mr. Jackson will be held Wednesday, November 10, 2010 at 2:30 p.m. from the chapel at The Georgia Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Milledgeville, GA. Internment will be in the Georgia Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Milledgeville, GA. The family will receive friends Tuesday, November 9, 2010, from 6 till 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
