Homerville, GA Mrs. Jewell Grace Davis Tomlinson, 90, passed away Thursday, July 8, 2010, in the Clinch Memorial Hospital. Mrs. Tomlinson was born, February 4, 1920 in Lowndes County, to the late Willie B. Davis and Floye Dellar Davis. She attended the Fruitland Church of God, was a member of the Senior Citizens Center, past member of the Homerville Exchange Club and was a homemaker. She taught Sunday School for ten years when her family lived in Savannah, GA. She was preceded in death by her husband, Louis Allden Tomlinson, one daughter, Schaunell Herrin, four brothers, H.C. Davis, Frank Davis, Woodrow Davis and Lloyd Davis and two sisters, Esther Smith and Timpa Mae Davis. Survivors are two daughters and son-in-law: Janice & Dean Person, Phoenix, AZ and Robin Tomlinson, Daytona Beach, FL; son-in-law: Robert Herrin, Plant City, FL; two sisters: Velma Smith, Jacksonville, Fl and Rusha Douglas, Homerville; five grandchildren, eleven great grandchildren, special friend, Peter Garrett, Daytona Beach, FL; two special nephews: Troy Riberon & W. G. Smith, both of Homerville and several nieces, nephews and other relatives. Services for Mrs. Tomlinson will be held Saturday, July 10, 2010, at two o’clock from the Chapel of Roundtree Funeral Home. Internment will be in the Pine Forest Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Friday, July 9, 2010 night from 6 till 8 p.m. Roundtree Funeral Home is serving the Tomlinson Family.
