Homerville, GA Mrs. Ruby Lee James Smith, 89, passed away Sunday, April 11, 2010, at Clinch Memorial Hospital. Mrs. Smith was born February 7, 1921, in Ware County, to the late Jim James & Leona Lee James. She was a homemaker & attended the Shiloh Southern Congregational Methodist Church. Mrs. Smith was preceded by her husband: James Harold Smith; a son: James Hewitt Smith; two sisters: Lucille Smith & Ruth W. Smith; four brothers: Bob James, Leo James, Harry James, & Refus James. Survivors are a daughter: Vonnell (Bobby) Mclaine, of Homerville; two sisters: Ocie Surrency Stephen, of Homerville, & Eleanor Carmichael, of Manor; two brothers: Gene (Nell) James, Lakeland, GA & Jimmy (Sally) James, of Baxley, GA; six grandchildren: Kevin Mclaine, of Valdosta, Melissa Futch, of Blackshear, Julie Andros, Anthony Smith, Teresa James, & Danielle Harrison, all of Homerville; eight great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; & several other relatives. Services for Mrs. Smith will be held Tuesday, April 13, 2010, at eleven o'clock from Shiloh Southern Congregational Methodist Church. Internment will be in the Shiloh Southern Congregational Methodist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from the Shiloh Southern Congregational Methodist Church, Tuesday Morning, April 13, 2010, one hour prior to services.
