Homerville, GA Mrs. Agnes Bennett Strickland, 88, passed away Wednesday, March 17, 2010, at Clinch Memorial Hospital. Mrs. Strickland was born January 28, 1922, in Ware County, to the late Lester Bennett & Miner Beverly Bennett. She was a homemaker, owner and operator of Homerville Supply for 38 years with her husband, the late Jessie Martin “J.M.” Strickland, & a member of the New Vision Church of God. Mrs. Strickland was preceded by her husband of 67 years; a grandson: Michael Strickland; a brother: LeRoy Bennett; & a sister: Gertie Griffis. Survivors are a daughter & son-in-law: Evelyn (Jimmy) Wilson, of Homerville; two sons & daughters-in-law: John W. “Wink” (Nancy) Strickland; Mike (Debbie) Strickland, both of Homerville; a brother & sister-in-law: Melvin (Hazel) Bennett, of Waycross; eight grandchildren: Tammy (Jerome) Crosby, Timmy (Dell) Wilson, Amy (Craig) Hunt, DeAnna (Matt) Courson, John Strickland, Brice (Brandi) Denmark, Brett Denmark, & Taylor Denmark; eight great-grandchildren: Jay (Vonda) Crosby, Tiffany Crosby, Jim Wilson, John Michael Wilson, Sam Hunt, Maddie Courson, Caroline Hunt, & Tate Denmark; one great-great grandson: Tyson Crosby; & other relatives. Services for Mrs. Strickland will be held Saturday, March 20, 2010, at eleven o'clock from New Vision Church of God. Internment will be in the Pine Forest Cemetery. The Family will receive friends from the Roundtree Funeral Home, Friday, March 19, 2010, from 6 til 8. Mrs. Strickland will be carried to the church one hour prior to services.
