Homerville, GA Mr. Joseph Michael Johns, Sr., 45, passed away Wednesday evening, January 20, 2010, at Gainesville VA Medical Center. Mr. Johns was born February 1, 1964, in Clinch County, to Levi Johns & Jacquelyn O’Berry Johns, of Homerville. He was a Welder at Dependable Welding, a member of the Indian Mound Missionary Baptist Church, & a veteran of the U.S. Army. Mr. Johns was preceded by his brother: Harry Ellis Johns, Sr. Survivors other than his Mother & Father are his wife: Kelly Soza Johns, of Homerville; a step-daughter: Kady Mae Pittman, of Pearson; two sons & daughters-in-law: Joseph M. & Amy Johns, Jr., of Homerville, & Christopher David Johns, of Waycross; three step-sons: Kevin Umberger, Robert Simpson, & Kyle Simpson, all of Valdosta; two sisters: Attwell Raymond, & Donna Renee Nooman, both of Homerville; four brothers: Ronnie Johns, Terry Johns, & Marshal Johns, all of Homerville, & Tim Johns, of Gulfport, MS; three grandchildren: Lara Lei Johns, Whitney Johns, & Gracelyn Pittman;& several other relatives. Services for Mr. Johns will be held Saturday, January 23, 2010, at eleven o'clock from Indian Mound Missionary Baptist Church. Internment will be in the Indian Mound Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery. The Family will receive friends from the Roundtree Funeral Home, Friday, January 22, 2010, from 7pm til 9pm.
